Bayside Arts Summer 2024

“Exploring Art with the Artists”

Bayside is home/summer home to a number of folks who live their lives in the arts. We proudly present programs by four such: Henry Spritz, Carlos Martínez, John Woolsey, and Philipp Elssner, plus programs by two musicians, back by popular demand, Noah Fishman and Ali Webb. All events are free, all are spirited and fascinating, and all are in the Community Hall.

Note: All programs are FREE this year, but donations are gratefully accepted.
(Donations are accepted at the door or online, on this page.)
Let’s keep Bayside Arts going!

Check dates and times on our calendar.

Background

The 1915 Charter from the Maine State Legislature to the Northport Village Corporation (NVC, Bayside) states that one of the functions of the Corporation is “to contribute features of an entertaining nature during the months of June, July and August [and] to license entertainments of a character not forbidden by law…”

What We Do

Bayside Arts produces a yearly series of programs and exhibitions in Bayside’s Community Hall for summer residents and visitors to Bayside and the surrounding communities. Programs include music, plays, lectures, readings, dance and other programs of interest to the Bayside community. Bayside Arts also schedules summer exhibitions consisting of fine art or other material. A six-week series of art classes for kids has been a popular offering.

This year’s events are free, though donations are always welcome.

We look forward to seeing you soon and enriching your summer experience at Bayside..
And, we are always looking for more members to join the Bayside Arts team.

This year we would be especially pleased to find someone interested in learning about the technical side of our events—the lighting and sound that support our performers.

If you’d like to get involved, Contact Us.

Who We Are

Bayside Arts is made up of a committed team of volunteers, with additional help provided by community members.

Support Bayside Arts’ Ongoing Cultural Events

Bayside Arts seeks to present cultural events throughout the summer which are free.
But the artists we present come at a cost.
Memberships, freewill donations, and sponsorships allow us to present these programs to the community without an admission charges.
If you are able, please support Bayside Arts by becoming a member, or by sponsoring an event, or with a donation of any amount you are comfortable with.

Visit our “Join or Donate” page to do one or the other (or both!) online.
Thank you.

Information regarding all Bayside events (not exclusively Bayside Arts-sponsored events) is available on the Bayside Maine website.

Bayside Arts is a Maine non-profit organization formed in 2015, inspired by the successful program of Bayside Centennial events that were offered during the summer of 2015.
